What a great idea! The space above your stove is a perfect place to put a cheap curtain rod to hang utensils from or even a small shelf to hold your salt & pepper, olive oil or whatever spices you use on a regular basis. You can use S hooks or take old forks and bend them to create a unique way to hang your utensils.
